About the Maestro
Andrew Potts has been surrounded by pianos for as long as he can remember. His musical journey began in childhood, demonstrating a remarkable ear for music that set him apart early on. This natural talent flourished into advanced studies, culminating in a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Mount Union, where he also explored voice and harpsichord. It was through his harpsichord studies that Andrew developed an interest in tuning, a skill requiring both precision and a highly trained ear.
Over the years, Andrew has refined his ability to hear and balance the delicate nuances of tuning, ensuring each piano resonates with clarity and warmth. His deep connection to the instrument as both a performer and technician allows him to bring out the best in every piano he encounters, blending artistry and functionality.
As a lifelong pianist and a passionate advocate for the transformative power of music, Andrew strives to ensure that every note touches the hearts of listeners as it was intended. Now based in the Northeast Baltimore County area, he continues to share his love for the piano through both his performances and his work as a piano technician.
Andrew is a Certified Piano Technician through the Piano Techician Academy.
